About Me:
————————————–
If you’re looking to learn more about Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, typography, design principles, and visual communication, you’ve arrived at the right place! While there are many places on the internet to learn about design, there are a few reasons to learn here:

I’m a full-time university professor of graphic design and digital media (and have been for the last eight years), so I know what teaching methods and explanations work best in these areas.

I’ve worked as webmaster and advertising designer at a regional newspaper, internet development director at an award-winning advertising design firm, technology librarian at a city library system, and managing editor at two international graphic design magazines. I have a BA in communication from Southeastern University, an MA in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, and a PhD in communication from Regent University. My dissertation focused on mythic branding of Apple’s Macintosh/Mac in their primary commercial campaigns (1984, Think Different, Switch/Real People, and Get a Mac). I’ve studied visual communication and design at all three levels.

My combination of professional experience, formal education, and experience in education has enabled me to produce quality courses that help students become better graphic designers, photo editors, and illustrators.

So subscribe to my YouTube channel and enroll in my Udemy courses today! Let’s get started learning and creating.
